Pain...
Logan was running through the house playing a game with Emily. As he ran past the stairs he caught his pinkie finger in the railing at the stairs. He kept going one way and his finger went the opposite.
Oh, and this was on his 15th birthday, just an hour before his birthday dinner. Steve and Logan headed to the ER to get his finger set and splinted.
A few days later we went to a hand specialist and his birthday continued with the gift of a pink cast for the next three weeks.
The doctor claimed that pink was the most popular color chosen by boys.

Take a picture....
We were at Walmart the other day and Emily sees these purple sunglasses. She LOVES the color purple. She put on the glasses and folded her arms in front of her and says to me "take a picture and send it to Dad. "
Jump time .....
Emily was invited to a friend's birthday party at Jump Time. She was so excited to go that she was up at 6:15 a.m. this morning.
She had a great time and has already asked to back.

Summer is over....2008
As the school bus pulls away with the last group of my kids I realize summer is over! It could be the colder mornings, the pool without kids in it all day, the quiet house, or the backpacks filled and ready to go. Fall is coming and the kids are finally back to school! I don't look forward to the homework that comes with being back in school. However, the structure and routine of the school day is something that I look forward to. Emily however will miss her brothers and sisters who just light up her day! She gets so excited everytime one of them walks into the room. We just might have to go and eat lunch with the kids so she can see them. I have two middle schoolers this year!
